To do good, there is no borders.

The You in Africa NGO was created in 2018, with the aim of bringing attention, food and improvements to more than 800 children a day from the communities of Ruiru, Makuyu, Cheptulu, Thika and Kibera. Fighting hunger and encouraging studies, the organization wants to be the bridge between the whole planet and the heart of the project, in Kenya.

Through sport, entrepreneurship and education, Lucas Tilhaqui, founder of the YIA, wanted the project to gain more visibility, so we were summoned for this very important cause.

In order to provide the food, kitchens were built so that people from the community could cook. It all started in Tiqua, but has spread to more towns. We have a team that monitors these actions, taking the children to school and helping them in their daily lives as volunteers. Also, the children have online classes with education volunteers.

Through the commitment of volunteers and our engagement in the social media, the project reached dozens of people every day, expanding from one to six communities. It has made it possible to build kitchens and schools for them, guaranteeing food security for the residents.

Thanks to the help of these people, the children who play soccer there were able to get sponsors in Ireland to design and make their uniforms.

Through the sponsorship program, it is possible to help finance the students' tuition fees, study materials and uniforms.The godfather or godmother monitors the academic development of their godchildren by exchanging letters and currently 60 teenagers benefit from access to education throughout the school year.
